Emsella® sends out high-intensity electromagnetic waves (HIFEM) to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles. The electric current treats the tissues deep down (and not on the surface, unlike other intravaginal electrostimulation methods). There is no risk of burning the mucosa.

Emsella® is ideal for all women who wish to re-educate their perineum after childbirth, but also when there is a weakening of the pelvic floor, such as in cases of overweight, sedentary lifestyle, constipation, etc.

A relaxed perineum is synonymous with a host of inconveniences such as bladder weakness, incontinence or a lack of sensation during sexual intercourse. And no more minor accidents caused by intense physical effort, sneezing, laughing or coughing!

Emsella® treatment is contraindicated in the presence of metal in the body or electronic implants (pacemakers, implanted defibrillators). As a precaution, we don’t treat pregnant women either. We recommend waiting 6 to 8 weeks after giving birth, to give the tissues time to heal.

Treatment includes:

• 6 sessions with a frequency of one session per week.
• A session lasts 30 minutes.
• The equivalent of 11,200 contractions during the session. Stimulation occurs at a higher rate than the time it takes for your muscles to relax, intensifying the effectiveness of pelvic floor strengthening.

Session sequence:

Your doctor will adjust the Emsella® device to suit your needs on a dedicated, personalized program. Fully dressed, you are seated with your back straight, your hands on your thighs and the perineum area well in the center of the chair. We recommend that you wear loose-fitting clothing to help you position yourself optimally during treatment.

The electromagnetic field passes through clothing (no need for a vaginal probe). You feel slight tingling and vibrations in the pelvic floor muscles, which then turn into intense contractions.

There’s no discomfort or pain. You can resume your daily activities straight away.
