Lipocryolysis

Lipocryolysis

This technique is based on the fact that fat cells (adipocytes) are more sensitive than other cells to prolonged exposure to cold.
The goal of the lipocryolysis treatment is the reduction of localized fat deposits by the destruction of adipocytes.
We use a medical certified lipocryolysis device.
The technique combines vacuum suction of the fatty fold with a specific handpiece and its cooling.
This results in a crystallization of the lipids contained in the adipocytes which marks a point of no return in the evolution of these cells.
The adipocytes are therefore programmed for a “slow suicide” called apoptosis which generates a slow elimination by the body of their content.
The skin covering adapts easily to the morphological changes caused.

For who :

  • Patients without excess weight but who have one or more localized fatty areas that are most often resistant to diet efforts
  • Patients without excess weight but who have one or more localized fatty areas that are most often resistant to diet efforts.

The expected results:

  • Reduction of localized fats.
  • The reduction in fatty folds will appear delayed approximately six weeks after treatment.

Things you should know:

  • The skin fold is measured before the session.
  • The greasy fold is covered with a thin layer of gel and then vacuumed under the effect of the vacuum in the handpiece connected to the machine. Heat extraction can begin.
  • The treatment is not painful. You feel a little tension at the level of the fatty fold during the suction then a feeling of intense cold settles locally especially noticeable the first minutes of the treatment.
  • The session lasts between thirty to 60 minutes per zone.
  • After the session, the treated area shows redness associated with a feeling of numbness for a few hours.
  • Pregnancy and abdominal hernias are contraindications.
  • The same is true for cryoglobulinemia and cold urticaria.
  • The treatment is not recommended for people on anticoagulants at an effective dose or with coagulation problems.
  • The treatment is not recommended for people on anticoagulants at an effective dose or with coagulation problems.
  • A bruise or very rarely a purpuric reaction may appear. The disappearance will take about 1 week.
  • One to two sessions are recommended depending on the size of the fatty fold being treated and the desired objective. . An interval of forty five days between sessions is advised.
